The only differences are that he has only two sword (Broadswords not katanas) and a sheath on his back for them and wears an air nomad top similar to what aangs looked like at the end of the series.

Character Personality: Sai is a very intelligent, agressive, and a very different airbender, he is said to have a additude that lead most people to believe he is from the fire nation. It is believed that his recklessness is a major factor on him leaving the southern air temple where he was born and mastered air bending.

He is known around the fire nation for constantly "Dine and Dashing" wherever he goes, this has earned him a bad reputation in restuarants and is a factor in him moving on to the earth kingdom. Sai has a tendency to never back down from a fight, saying that he does not fear death if it is by the hands of a worthy opponent. Sai is easily provoked by anyone who attempt to hurt Ora, his sky bison, who he believes is his only friend left in this world.

He decided to leave the Air Nomads in order to enact revenge on the black lotus council, the Air Nomads have now considered him an exile. This has caused him to be given the the epithet the air rogue. It can be considered that he is nothing like the Air Nomads seeing as though he is violent and is none to love eating meat of any kind, he might have eventually ended up leaving the air nomads regardless eventually because he was so different from them.

Background Information: Born at the western air temple, where his mother died during child birth, his father is still unknown but is not an air nomad from what Sai has heard and may be where he got his additude and personality. After the passing of his mother he was sent to the northern air temple as it was his mother's last wish to be trained by the great monk Terin, Terin took Sai in and began to train him from the moment he started walking, Sai was an obvious protege, but that was not the only thing that made him to him stand out from the other Air benders he was violent and constantly caused the other air benders constant greif, when they would play thier games he would interfere and ruin the games by using his superior skills, he became hated by most of the members of the temple. This lead him and Terin to transfer to the southern air temple, here Sai made his one true friend, the Air Nomads here were persistent on becoming just as good as Sai was so they followed and trained with him day in and day out. Sai did not think much of them and ignored most of the followers until he needed something, he did help sole of the other benders from time to time though.

Sai felt that he had finally belonged somewhere, after which he believed he could spend the rest of his life there then on his seventh birthday he met his 2 best friends Ora, his sky bison, and Shao an airbender that was the complete opposite of himself, the two polar opposite both wanted Ora as thier sky bison and so they defied they would duel for him, Shao was the northern air temple's protege that went to the southern temple as to train with the great Monk Terin, though Shao was also considered a protege. Sai soon made tthe difference in thier skill obvious, Sai was a much greater airbender, though Shao refused to give up and press on this is where Sai learned that an oppponent must be defeated in two ways first you must physically crush them and second of all you must break thier spirit, Sai uses his bending to encircle Shao with tornados, he soon became trapped and used everything he knew to try and escape from the tornados, inside the circle the oxygen was getting low and Shao soon began to slowly lose consiousness, before he fainted Terin disapiated the tornados and told Sai he still had much to learn before he can become a great Air Nomad, because mastering air bending was only a small part to becoming a monk like himself. As Terin placed Shao down looked looked at Sai and vowed to defeat him someday somehow. That was the first day the Sai and Shao had spoken but Terin knew they would both one day become people the Air Nomads could depend on. Terin began to train both Sai and Shao, though Sai would take the lessons and edit them to fit his own design of air bending which oddly resembled fire bending, Sai became facinated with it when Terin and himself tranfered from the nortern air temple to the southern.

For five years Shao and Sai spent everyday training with Terin or challenging each other to any game they could think of. Shao and Sai both at the age of twelve gained thier arrows and have truly become air bending masters, Terin had then pulled Sai aside, there Terin told that Sai he will not be becoming a monk like Shao, enraged he took Ora and took off quickly Shao followed him, they landed on a mountain close to the temple, where Sai and Shao went oftenly, "what are you mad about Sai, you now can travel the world like you always wanted, i'm stuck at the temple for the rest of my life you are free to advance your skills as an airbender with your unorthodox style, go and complete your goals for both of us and I'll be the next coucil monk like Monk Terin for us." After that Sai left the sothern air temple to travel to the other temples to see his mothers grave and try and find out anything about his father he could. Upon reaching the western air temple, he spoke to the Nuns asking for him to see his mother's grave site. Once at the site he sat and meditated, he wanted to know if he would be able to see who his father was by mediating at his mother's grave site the only person who knew who he was. He spent four months at the western air temple using this method he then decied he would go and see if the council monks & nuns at the northern and eastern air temples would be able to help him. He spent the next two month travel to these two temple via Ora, his journey had proven to be a waste.

Sai decided it would be a good idea to return to the southern air temple to see Shao and Terin as his 13th birthday was approaching he wanted to see the only family he has. While closing in on the air temple he saw clouds and clouds of smoke, once he reached the temple he saw it was completely destroyed parts of the temple in flames other parts in shattered pieces of ice or just frozen over, pieces of the temple laid everywhere, this was obviously the work of benders of each element that had attacked he began to look for surviors, putting out flames and moving the stone to check for surviors, he saw a pillar in the distance lying on a young familar monk he ran to rescue Shao, once he got there Shao looked into Sai's eyes and handed him a pendant with the symbol of the air nomads, "This is from monk terin and myself it was your mothers terin sent me to retrive it for you, he said it was her good luck charm," Shao coughed up blood as Sai looked at him in dismay, "I'm sorry Sai I was not able to become a council member like I promised you but please do me a favor and keep your side of the bargain and travel the world, warn them of this treat the black lotus council, they will take down any one who stands against them or is related to those who stand against them." Sai's eyes then shut, Shao had spoken his last breath, Sai's agony began to take hold and he let out a massive gale that blew out all the fires and moved most of the rumble, he buried all the air nomads of the temple.

Sai left the southern air temple and headed to the western air temple where he told them the news, and that he will be leaving the air nomads and will be going to avenge the deaths of Shao and Terin, the council monks & nuns told he will never be able to return to the air nomads if he leaves the temples in search of vengence, Sai ignored her and head to the fire nation where he will go and train in the art of broadswords. While in the fire nation he found a master and began to train in learning the art of using the broadsword. He kept two things on his mind while training, that he will learn the ways of each bending, even though he was not the avatar, in order to create the ultimate airbending style mixing parts of the bending arts. The second thing was that he will destroy the black lotus council if it was the last thing he did, it took him 1 year before his master had said he has advanced to the master class, he has now spent the last two years investigating the black lotus council, and making a name for himself in the fire nation, which he has remained in as he has yet to meet up with a fire bender that will teach him the art of fire bending.
